She has provided articles to the Chronicle of Philanthropy and is often a speaker across the country for fundraising and executive search topics. She subscribes to the Donor Bill of Rights and the ethical practice guidelines of the AFP.

Diane serves as Vice Chairman of the St. Rose Dominican Hospitals Health Foundation Board (Catholic Healthcare West), a member of the Moms in Business Network (MIBN) national board, and the Community Lutheran Church Endowment Board. She has served nationally as the first woman volunteer chairman of the American Association of Fundraising Professionals, AAFRC, (now called The Giving Institute). In 2004, she received the National Woman of Courage Award given by the Susan G. Komen Foundation. She is also a member of the Las Vegas Rotary.

Further, Diane is President of the board of SFS Entertainment, Las Vegas , a theatrical production company. Her husband, William Freyd , produces musicals and concerts.

Diane was born and raised in Jamestown , New York . She received her Bachelor's degree in political science from Denison University , Granville , Ohio . William Freyd was born in Chicago and received his Bachelor's degree from the School of Foreign Service , Georgetown University .

Diane and her husband, William Freyd , live in Henderson and are very active in both Henderson and Las Vegas . Bill is President of the Las Vegas Philharmonic Board.
