How We Work

We focus on matching highly qualified candidates with job openings in not-for-profit organizations. Due to the amazing growth of the not-for-profit sector over the last ten years, filling open positions quickly with the right candidates can be challenging.

Working for you in a confidential capacity 1-2-1 Executive Search we will provide the following services:

  • consult about position descriptions/expectations
  • recommend competitive compensation packaging

Payment & Guarantee Arrangements;
1-2-1 Executive Search will work in partnership with the nonprofit employer to implement a recruitment plan to obtain the best possible final candidate.

Working on a retained search basis, 1-2-1 Executive Search has the following fee structure: 25 per cent of the estimated compensation for the first year of employment (salary and bonus, if appropriate) or $25,000, whichever is lower. In addition to the professional fee, 1-2-1 will bill back direct expenses for advertising (pre-approved) and travel for candidates (pre-approved).

An invoice for one-half of the estimated professional fee will be presented for payment when 1-2-1 Executive Search is retained. A final invoice for the balance due will be presented for payment when the search is completed. The final invoice must be paid prior to the final candidate commencing employment with the employer.

Expenses will be billed monthly and are due when presented.

1-2-1 Executive Search will guarantee a final candidate for 90 days from the date of employment. If for any reason during the first 90 days, the nonprofit employer is not satisfied with the final candidate's work, 1-2-1 Executive Search will continue the search for a suitable candidate. The only expense to the non-profit employer will be direct expenses such as candidate travel expenses etc.
